Really bad toothache in a cavity but scared of dentists, what to do!!!?
Nip down to the pharmacy and ask for some Oil of Cloves. Apply a drop directly to the cavity, this will bring immediate (but very temporary) relief. When you arrive for your dentist appointment, TELL THEM that you are extremely nervous and terrified of the pain the dentist might inflict. They should do everything they can to reassure you and ease the experience. Keep breathing! Your dentist is a professional with an obligation (and an interest) to make your visit as pleasant as possible. I know how terrifying this can be (I suffer from the same fear), and can hardly ever bring myself to get to the dentist. But afterwards I always wonder what I was so worried about. Good Luck!
I had the same, but in a wisdom tooth. The procedure will be either a filling or extraction. I am also scared to death of dentists and let things get terrible before I go. They will more than likely give you a small injection to completley numb the spot, which really does not hurt then probably remove the tooth. This will not hurt one bit, and is over before you know it has begun. I know how you feel. I put mine off for months, and in the end, it took 10 seconds and was a huge relief. You will be fine, dont worry too much.
