Readers Respond: Have you used an “alternative” e-collar?
E-collars or the “cones” used for dogs and cats to prevent licking incisions are something that most pet lovers are familiar with, whether they were put in use or not. Traditional e-collars are hard white plastic. At best cumbersome, at worst impossible to deal with, we now have alternatives available. The story of Rose, the senior dog adopted with medical issues, raised the question of newer types of e-collars after a viewer noticed the e-collar used for Rose after eye surgery.
