One of the loose dogs in my neighborhood has CHARGED me twice while I was riding my motorcycle as I approached my driveway. I managed to avoid a crash both times. After having survived a bad motorcycle accident in 1999, and knowing what it’s like to crash, and knowing what it’s like to have my wrist shattered and painful skin grafts and months out of work, I prefer to keep off the ground. Must I wait for a dog induced crash to expect the animal control laws to be enforced? When I was in my early 20’s we were riding our bicycles through base housing in North Carolina. A huge dog came running out from a carport and CHARGED me hitting my front tire. Both the dog and I crashed to the ground. My bicycle was damaged and I had quite a bit of road rash. The dog owner was cited, I got a new bicycle, road rash and a bad memory about unpredictable loose dogs. Or how about the time when I was 12 and bit by a large German Shepard while delivering newspapers? Whenever I or my parents would complain
