Author: Alain Chiorboli (http://www.jguru.com/guru/viewbio.jsp?EID=1155141), Mar 17, 2004I’ve the same problem with Apache 1.3.28 / Tomcat 5.0.19 and mod_jk 1.2.5. After long searches on the net I finally found how to do this. Update the connector configuration in the server.xml file: By setting the tomcatAuthentication=”false” for the AJP1.3 connector now the getRemoteUser return the user authenticated through Apache!
