Re World Cup, what do you think of Wally Lewiss suggestion re Qld. & NSW.?
I think it is just plan stupid. I think if i was an Aussie I would be so much more prouder our wearing my coutries colours. This is an honour to know they you have achieved something only the greats beforeyou have done. If this was the case and they went with NSW & Queensland then no player would ever have the honour to say they achieved the highest level for there Country. Plenty who people make State teams, only true champs represent there country!!!! Next thing you know both States will have there own National Athems and Prime Ministers!!! Just a waste of time and doesnt Justify in my books!!!
I think the NZ Maori played in the world cup in 2000. It would be too complicated if what Wally had said was put towards the next world cup. It would give Australia more chances to win. If NSW lose and is therefore eliminated, then Australia would have a second chance with QLD. I personally feel that we should scap the world cup altogether. The whole thing has been a disaster from the scheduling of games, to the fact that it is only a one-sided competition. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for Australia to win, but I would like to see them win on more fairer terms. It’s just like the last cricket world cup; a waste of time, energy and it’s only there so Australians can show their dominance of the game.
