Rates can be confusing; what is a blended rate?
A blended rate has to do with caring for school age children. During the academic school year the subsidy ceiling rate is blended between the part-time before/after school rates and the full day rates for things like early dismissals and school closings (holidays, professional development days, snow). Summer care goes back to regular full time care. With a blended rate, parents only pay the same fee every week regardless of how many hours of care. Questions about the subsidy system are common; providers should contact their CCIS organization or PACCA with questions.
