Random military tactic thought…how would US respond?
If China or Russia decides to launch an all-out air attack on North America or American bases anywhere in the world, the United States would definitely know of such an attack before it would begin. First of all, the UK-USA Community (consisting of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) would pickup SIGINT from the increased radio traffic involved in planning such a large attack. Secondly, it would take a couple of hours to have the aircraft involved in a large-scale attack group up and attack in formation. Finally, NORAD (joint Canadian/US organization that provides aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and defense of North America) radar would undoubtedly be able to track a large air formation. The US response would come in four phases: 1) Diplomatic action 2) Airbases in Korea and Japan would be mobilized immediately and scramble fighters up into the air and attack immediately.
