Quorn products – how do they taste?

I don’t think anyone of the people who said that they taste like crap have ever tried them. Anti-veggie trolls, we love you guys. No, the chicken dippers taste like chicken nuggets, and the sausages taste like well, sausages. I think they taste pretty similar to the meats they’re trying to imitate, and Quorn is my favorite brand of mock meats, personally.

I think the Quorn products are great!!!! They each taste pretty close to what they are imitating. The steak and lamb ones aren’t quite as close as say the sausages or the chicken like items, but over all they are good!!!! As far as Morning Star and Amys and such… I can’t seem to find them up here in the west of Scotland… *Sigh* So I can’t compare them to Quorn. Anyway, give them a wee try, you will only know if you like them by trying them!!!! My husband is an omni and he eats the Quorn products without complaint.

To me they taste like chicken nuggets/sausages/whatever the product is. The mince is good for spag bol and the chunks are great in a stir-fry. Quorn is a low fat, high protein and fibre food and I personally like it. However, opinion on here seems to be divided so I suppose the only way is to actually try them yourself – then you will know!

Quorn is okay, and their different products do taste different to each other and have different textures. But personally, I think there are much better brands out there. Cauldron for sausages, RealEat for mince, and probably Quorn is best for mock chicken. But it’s all a matter of what you think tastes best. Go and try them all!
