The first to be funded is the Community Services and Supports component, which is focused on expanding existing, and implementing new services. How was the MHSA Community Services and Support Plan developed? A. Monterey County conducted a 6-month community planning process in the spring and summer of 2005. The purpose was to engage community members, especially individual receiving mental health services and family members, in identifying the mental health needs of those currently served, underserved, and unserved by the countys mental health system.
