Question regarding to debit card withdraw in the Philippines?
It actually depends on the exchange rate. I recently went home and did 3 options: 1. I sent money to myself via Western Union when the exchange rate is higher. I get the same amount as the time of sending minus some tax (0.15% of the total amount received). I sent in several transactions so I can just go up to any Western Union whenever I need more money, instead of getting a lump sum in my hands. You would not want to carry a lot of cash unnecessarily. 2. I sent some mony to myself via AUB’s redimoney. I think it is available in most financing house that does remittance transactions to the Philippines. You are charged nothing when you withdraw in any Asia United Bank and the usual 10 pesos in any other bancnet machine. The downside is that it is a little difficult to find an ATM. It only works on bancnet machines. Sometimes it doesn’t work on a bancnet-megalink ATM. And you can withdraw only up to a PHP100K in a month. I did however managed to withdraw more than that. 3.
