Question for TV viewers in Ireland – HDTV – how can I receive HDTV broadcasts?

Some TV stations broadcast in HD and then you’d only need an antennae and a TV with a tuner able to receive direct digital signels. Stations are moving more towards digital air broadcasts, so it might save you money to call local stations to see if they broadcast some or all of their programs in HD. Your TV has to have a digital tuner in it. One of the dirty secrets of HD TV is some can only receive these from an outside source and have only have an analog tuner. See what you have as far as a TV. The American term is “duel tuner.” That’s very different from duel picture in picture but largely misunderstood and salemen don’t often understand these terms themselves and are only interested in the commission and sales.
