Pyrantel dosage for chihuahua puppies?
If you have Pyran 50, the dosage is 1cc per 10 lbs of body weight. Good for you to start worming at 2 weeks! Weigh the pups and use a tuberculin syringe for this. 0.1cc (ml) = 1 lb then. Then worm at 4,6 and 8 weeks as well. Worm the ***** when you worm the pups too. Don’t listen to people that tell you to wait until after 6 weeks. I am sure her vet wouldn’t like her giving false information like this. If you have a heavy load of roundworms in a litter and wait until 6 weeks, the worms can migrate, and you can see pups puking them up or even coughing them up. A small breed pup can die from an overload of worms. So keep up with your worming schedule, you are doing the right thing by worming them now.
