Fill the gas tank and add a fuel stabilizer to it (Sta-Bil is a good one). When you get the car to where you are going to leave it, remove the spark plugs, and squirt some oil in each cylinder. Turn the engine over, if you can do so by hand rather than with the starter, that is better, to spread the oil in the cylinder. Replace the plugs and put the wired back on. Have the oil changed and use synthetic oil. Synthetic does not break down and create acid, which is important with the car sitting. Support the vehicle on jack stands if possible to remove pressure from the tires and suspension system. Disconnect and remove the battery. If the storage area has electricity, you may want to put a float charger on the battery. Put a good coat of wax on the car.
