Pup bites anything and everything in sight. How to stop this annoying habit?
Puppies chew! That’s what they do, it’s how they learn about their environment. It’s very pleasurable for them to gnaw at things. Not to mention they are teething, so their mouths bother them. I have tons of chew toys for my Lab and I make sure they are handy. When she chews stuff she’s not supposed to, I remove her from the object while telling her “no!” then give her the toy to chew. Kongs work great, ropes are good and nylabones. They love stuffies with squeakers in them, depending on your tolerance level, they may drive you crazy once they learn their toys make noise. They keep my pup occupied, so I just tune out the noise. Bitter apple spray is great for protecting things like furniture, electrical cords (unplug them first and allow them to dry) and other things that are valuable or can harm your pup.
