I will let you know what I find out on that low gear. CleoN Tom The transmisson is out, do you have any hints as to the disassembly procedure. Also the cluster gear shaft has almost 1/8 inch end play. What is the best way to remove the end play. It sure helps to have someone like you to lead us in the right direction on these things. Thanks Again Cleon Cleon – Try removing the input shaft, or drive gear, then the main shaft, then you can get the cluster shaft out. To take up end play, you need to shim behind the bearings, in the caps on the cluster gear. Same for the main shaft into the input shaft, or drive gear. I can lead you all right.
