Publishing via FTP seems slow with my Cable/ADSL connection?

If you have a high speed Internet connection, you may find FTP a bit slow at times. FTP gives way to HTTP. Likewise, HTTP uploads give way to HTTP downloads. The network is tuned to provide the best HTTP download speed possible from your website. You shouldn’t notice any performance difference over a dial-up connection however. If you find FTP a bit slow, try publishing using HTTP (via FrontPage Extensions) as this is normally several times faster (with Cable/ADSL).
