Proxy Server – Will a proxy server prevent Genealogy Browser from launching?
You may experience problems launching Genealogy Browser if a proxy server is being used. If you are receiving error 80016 or 12152, this is most likely the cause. To correct this problem, you will need to edit the Z.ini file saved in your C:\WINDOWS folder. This will not harm your computer or affect other programs. This file is specific to Genealogy Browser. Place the following two lines at the bottom of the file and then save it. [Settings] proxy=0 (If you already have the [Settings] line, simply place the proxy=0 line below it.
