• You must comply with the HIPAA privacy Rule by April 14, 2003. • You must comply with the HIPAA electronic transactions regulations by October 16, 2002, unless you filed an extension. • If you filed the Standards Model Compliance Plan, you must begin testing by April 16, 2003, and be compliant by October 16, 2003.
