ThThe Protective Mat is made of a special non-slip, soft, rubbery webbing material. It is placed between the car’s roof and the bottom of the RoofBag car top carrier. The Protective Mat adds friction to the contact between the bottom of the RoofBag carrier and the roof of the car to prevent motion of the carrier during travel. The Protective Mat stabilizes the carrier on the roof, and creates a quieter ride. It also protects the roof of the car by cushioning the contact between the carrier and the roof.
