Propaganda is basically the same thing as advertising. Corporations spend billions of dollars on advertising. Why do they do this? Obviously, to entice people to purchase their product of service. Politicians use propaganda to influence the way people think. Propaganda can be blunt, or it can be subtle. The Nazis were very vocal in their anti-Jewish propaganda. Them came right out and openly attacked the Jews. A more subtle form of propaganda is to edit new reports to only show a particular group commiting crimes, terrorism & c. Eventually, a large part of the audience will begin to associate that group with negative activities. Another form of propaganda is called guilt by association. If you list groups like the Nazis, the KKK, and the Republican Party, the inferrence is that the Republican Party is somehow similar to the other two groups. Then there is the promotion of one group at the expense of another. The first thing that comes to mind is Affirmative Action. People in the group
