Tamper-proof and Plug Fuses…What are They? Monday October 27, 2008 Electrical fuse panels use either cartridge fuses, plug fuses, or tamper-proof fuses. Cartridge fuses handle the larger loads, while plug and tamper-proof fuses provide 120-volt circuits with 15, 20, or 30-amp protection. Although the standard plug fuses and tamper-proof fuses both protect the circuit, they have a different look and way to attach to the fuse socket. Do you know which is which?
