Professor of Nuttiness: Very well. Who is Rictor, this guy whose departure to Mexico caused Shatterstar such anguish?
Red: Well, Rictor was born to a large family in Mexico. He loved his father a great deal, despite the fact he was a gun dealer. When Julio Esteban Richter (Rictor’s real name) was a boy, Stryfe came along and shot Julio’s father for a debt. The guy died, of course, and years later, when Rictor met Cable, he thought Cable was the guy who killed his father. Anyway, as a teenager Rictor goes off and he gets recruited by X-Factor, which at the time consisted of the original X-Men. He, Tabitha, Artie, Leech, Rusty, and Skids form the X-Terminators and they’re together for awhile. Some time later, Julio and Tabitha join the New Mutants. and somewhere along the way, Julio takes a liking to Tabitha. He also takes a liking to Rahne Sinclair, who was also on the New Mutants, at some time in his tenure with the team. After Tabitha got together with Cannonball, I suppose.
