I believe they’re both great mandos in their own right…the A-9 also has a matte finish and also has the maple back and sides. The design of the A-9 is more traditional with the squared off edges; the Rigel is nontraditional with the rounded edges…both have a superb tone…the A-9 may have the edge on volume…the Rigel on sweetness of tone…
