Premature Ovarian Failure
I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure at the age of 16 after never starting my period. My mom was concerned because everyone else in my familyl ( girls) had theres very early. The doctors said to wait it out and I did until I was almost 18 and went back to the doctor. They ran a bunch of tests and concluded that I had premature ovarian failure. They gave me birth control to take and thats what I have been doing. The only reason I have a period is the week that I don’t take my pills or take the sugar pills. I have gone back to my doctor time and time again and that is all they keep telling me they will do is to give me birth control. I have started a new job and will get insurance soon and I am planning on going and seeing a new gyno about this. Is there anyone else who have had these issues and they have given them or done something else with them? Any help would be great!! I just find it weird that I never had it in the first place!
