PowerPoint vX support does not work for me. Whats the cause – and the solution?
Remote Buddy does support PowerPoint v.X as well as PowerPoint 2004. The first one is controled via emulated key presses, the latter via AppleScript. Remote Buddy does automatically detect which version you have installed. This detection can fail, though, if you have multiple versions of Office installed (which is often the case with new Macs, as they ship with an Office 2004 Testdrive version pre-installed). To solve the problem, please remove the version you don’t use, i.e. by first creating a ZIP file out of the respective Office folder (for ease restore, if you want to), then dragging that folder to your trash and empty the trash. After that (re)start Remote Buddy and it’ll work with PowerPoint as expected.
