Potential McCain VP pick, Congressman Eric Cantor, could prove attractive to libertarians?
The conservative blogosphere is buzzin’ this morning with heavy rumors of an imminent McCain VP pick. The latest name to surface is that of Republican Congressman Eric Cantor from Virginia. Cantor, 45, is a Jewish American, married, with three children. He’s got solid conservative credentials. Most especially he’s a hardcore budget hawk which fits in with McCain’s fiscal policy. Moreover, he’s solid on drilling in Alaska and off the Coasts. But does he have libertarian appeal?
