I have said many times “some things we control and some things we can only try to influence the outcome”. The First Nations Land Claims is one where we can at best try to influence the outcome. This is a Federal and Provincial Government issue and for the most part we are not included in the discussions. I took an oath to protect the assets of Haldimand County and I will continue to vigorously defend that oath on all fronts. If elected Mayor I will endeavour to play a more active role in the process.
