There are several different styles of cue holding, and with time you will most certainly develop your own. There is no right or wrong here, but there is a way that most players are comfortable with, so take these tips as a starting point for your holding technique. They are very easy to use and understand, and will probably save you a lot of practicing time. Grab the cue closely to the wide end, and conveniently wrap your fingers around. The main force of your grip should come from the thumb, index and middle finger. There are two options to use the third and little finger. You can choose to use them to further tighten your grip, or just lay them on the cue and keep them loose. I personally Keep them loose, but I advice you to experience with both options until you’ll find the one that is best for you. Don’t use too much force holding the cue. Remember that your shot needs to be as smooth as possible, and you won’t be able to do it if you’re holding the cue too tight. Think about the s
