Pokemon Diamond/Pearl – What is an “Event”?
An event is like how Darkrai, Manaphy, Mew and Dragonite were given out at Toys’r’Us and lots of pokemon trainers gathered to get their free event Pokemon and trade and battle… an event could also mean like in Japan they had a Pokemon movie, where people could line up to download a mystery gift Darkrai with the moves Spacial Rend and Roar of Time and Dark Pulse and Dark Void if they bought a ticket for the movie an event can also be an in-game thing like from Pokemon Ranger, where you could get a code to send a Manaphy over to your DS or like in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum version, where if you have an event Horn key item, you can fight Arceus at the top of Sky Pillar. Event items are given out by Nintendo Pokemon promotions.
