Please Read!!! WAS THE ASSASSINATION OF FRANZ FERDINAND A CONVENIENT EXCUSE FOR WAR?
Not a bad piece of writing aside from a few typos, misspellings and probably acceptable inaccuracies which might well have come from a ‘valid’ source. The only part I consider weak is this: “When you start having those ambitions you create allies to help you. This caused merely the whole world to take part the war, thus giving it the name of WW1. Strong countries like France, England, Russia, Germany, and Austria-Hungary toke control of the weaker countries to grow in military and economic. They will attack other nations. The prevailing reason of all wars is to gain economic power. When you have these competing forces, war is inevitable. The Austria-Hungarians needed a pretext… the assassination of their future king was the perfect excuse to start a war that they all wanted and waited for.” I believe you slipped when you began pontificating about what happens when ‘you’ do this or that. You’re not old enough nor wise enough to draw such conclusions with any convincing force. Neither am
First, let me just point out that France was not allied to Serbia, Russia was allies with the Serbians and in turn France was allied to Russia, those two nations made up the Entente, as well as Britain (Yugoslavia was apart of Austria-Hungary as well). To answer your question simply, yes, the Austrians did expect a war with the Serbians, and they monopolized the fact that their Prince had been killed by a serbian radicalist. They brought Ferdinant to Bosnia in an attempt to bring more control in the region and have an excuse to move some of their military there as “bodyguards”. This was also the time where British domination over the seas began to falter. The use of the German U-Boats devastated the British navy, and they were never able to recover from this until the Americans brought the new idea of sending convoys instead of lone ships.
