PLEASE HELP ME – Do my pointe shoes fit?
Hello! Let me say, congratulations on getting on pointe! (: Now, if your pointe shoes are just a little bit baggy on pointe but are not baggy at all on flat, your shoes should be okay. However, if they are extremely baggy on pointe (to the point where you can pinch a lot of the fabric at the heel of one of your shoes on pointe) then you might want to reconsider the shoes. If they do end up being too baggy, they should be okay to wear, although they might look a little awkward on pointe. If you do feel that your feet start to sink into your shoe, then they shoe is probably too big and you should buy new ones to prevent any hurt or injuries. To keep your shoes from fraying, you can put clear nail polish over the fraying part or you can cut it off. I’m assuming by the “pointe of the shoe” you are referring to the shoe’s box.
