No. The measured torque is what is left over for the power-absorption unit to measure. Therefore, friction torque was already “consumed” inside the engine, so when you apply the correction factor (a percentage multiplier), you want to correct all torque produced by the combustion process. To do this: • Add the estimated friction torque to the measured torque. • Apply the sea-level correction factor. • Then subtract the estimated friction torque to derive the sea-level corrected torque value.
