All you need to do is download the Phoenix software. Just go to the Phoenix download page and download the most current version of the Phoenix and which version is best for your ProTools system. http://www.cranesong.net/download.html ?????? DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STC-8 AND TRAKKER AKA– IS THE TRAKKER A MONO (OR ONE CHANNEL) VERSION OF THE STC-8? NO! STC-8 is a very transparent compressor / limiter. Trakker is a “color” compressor. NO limiter. Actually, the STC-8 was built to be a no-compromise, transparent compressor/limiter (for buss compression or mastering) while the Trakker is more of a production (read – color) tool. They are two radically different designs: The STC-8 has dual sidechains (operates as a compressor and a separate limiter at the same time) while the Trakker uses a single sidechain design. The Trakker has faster and slower attack and release times available. Both units have 16 presets available (though the Trakker is more color oriented in its presets).
