PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS… Does anyone have any experience shipping food overnite?

A bakery near her makes a Tiramisu to die for, but that’s 750 miles away from me! Tiramisu is at least 1/2 whipped cream, so if it had thawed, it would have been a disaster. She packed it in a corrugated cardboard box which she had lined with sheets of styrofoam. Then she surrounded it with a layer of those blue freezer ice pack thingies. She shipped it FedEx overnight and it arrived just fine. I have also ordered frozen meals from some on-line gourmet meal vendors. The food usually arrives in a styrofoam cooler inside of a cardboard box with the freezer ice packs. Sometimes they have dry ice packs instead. This food always arrives still frozen solid. I think if you do an insulated cooler with lots of ice packs inside a cardboard box and ship overnight, you’ll be fine. Remember you’ll be paying to ship the weight of the freezer packs, so shipping could be quite pricey. In the case of the tiramisu, it cost more than the food!
