Sigh… I’m an atheist, and I don’t believe in the prophecies of Revelation. However, I also work for an organisation with member companies who do a lot of work with RFID chips. So, while I in no way wish to be seen as endorsing any religious viewpoint, least of all one that embraces such a doom, I should say this. IF such a thing as The Beast existed, and wanted to use some sort of “mark” so that people couldn’t buy or sell or travel without it, then RFID would be a useful bit of kit to them. It’s already in use in Europe and the UK quite a lot more than it is in the US, I believe, to track shipments and vehicles. It’s being used, if you can believe this, to study bumblebee-movement and to allow people access to places they’re allowed to go (and correspondingly deny them access to where they’re not).
