As long as you have the Media Center 2005 drivers for your video card, the 9700PRO will *smoke* the 6200. The 6200 is barely adequate for NTSC standard-def programming (it’s basically an 6-series uprated FX5200 which was a huge suck-fest of a video card), and is entirely inadequate for sports or HDTV. I’m running MCE 2005 with a 9600XT and I’m able to do standard def and sports just fine. This card should be sufficient for HDTV if anyone ever develops a decent cable-card tuner system for MCE so that I can watch Comcast HDTV. Considering the 9700PRO is more powerful than the 9600XT, you should be just fine running MCE2005. You may want to get a quieter fan for it (such as the Zalman VF-700) so you don’t drive yourself bonkers with the noise, though.
