Participating in OLE and developing SLP are not solely for university admission or future employment. What other benefits do students have?
A12: Apart from university admission, some students will also study in other tertiary institutions. OLE in itself is an important learning to develop students life-long learning ability and personal qualities. All these are the expected qualities advocated by tertiary institutions and employers. In the process of developing SLPs, students will summarise and reflect on their learning experiences, including reflecting on the past experiences and projecting future. They will select and include important experiences in SLPs as evidence of their whole-person development. They will reflect and plan for their personal development, briefly introduce their competencies and tell their stories of learning. The learning process is important in developing the life-long learning capability.
