Part of my change order is ready to checkin. How can I split the working ledger without losing the changes on the articles that are not ready?

First of all, be quite sure that it is appropriate to split the approval and that approving part of the change order will be valid. If so, copy as XML the incomplete articles and all of their attributes. Then delete those articles from the working ledger with article delete and in a newly created ledger associated with the same draft/ published ledger, paste the incomplete articles using XML import. Once the XML import is complete, the original ledger can be approved and checked in. The new ledger can be associated with the original change order or a different one.
