Palm OS or Windows Mobile: whats the difference?
The operating system on your device determines the type of sync software you need. There are Windows Vista options for both types of device. Palm Desktop 6.2 is for Palm OS devices (Centro; Treo 755p, 680, 700p, etc.). Windows Mobile Device Center (previously ActiveSync) is for Windows Mobile devices (Treo Pro, Treo 800w, 750 and 700w/wx). 64-bit edition support Palm does not support USB synchronization on 64-bit versions of Vista. However, you can set up your Palm device to synchronize using Bluetooth technology here’s how: Synchronizing under 64-bit Windows Vista: Bluetooth HotSync setup. Synchronization via Exchange ActiveSync is unaffected by this limitation. This limitation does not affect Palm Windows Mobile devices which use ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center for synchronization.
