Painting same color on walls and ceiling, will this make my livingroom look bigger?

The Best way to make a room look bigger is to use a very light color on the walls and white on the ceiling. Also using gloss or semi gloss paint reflects light and gives the idea that the room is bigger. Darker colors especially on the ceiling will have the opposite effect. I find that faux finishes work great and are easy to do. But a white ceiling would be my recommendation. Also not cluttering up the room with too much or too big furniture, not hanging too many things like pictures and wall hangings. That’s why a faux finish can make one wall look interesting without a lot of hangings. If you want to hang something a Mirror will have the effect of making the room look bigger. A nicely framed mirror on a fuax finished wall will make the room come alive with it’s own character and give the room depth and warmth.
