Pagans, is it appropriate to use a plastic shelf as an altar?
The things you use to make your altar are not nearly as important as the fact that you have taken the time to make one and connect with your Goddess/es/God/s (Woah, many forward slashes) The person who wrote what you read probably thought that it was inappropriate because Paganistic religions are nature-based, therefore natural products (wood) are preferred while plastic in particular is not particularly good for the environment.
