PADMA BASIC contains 19 herbs and 2 other ingredients. Why is the European product called PADMA 28?
The formulations of both PADMA 28 and PADMA BASIC are based on the 28th formula in an ancient textbook of Tibetan medicine. Padma Basic is the tradename for the product sold in the United States. It is formulated without aconite. Padma 28 is the tradename for the European product. It is sold with and without aconite, depending on the nation. Padma Inc. (Switzerland) produces both Padma Basic (exclusively distributed by EcoNugenics) and Padma 28. In 1969 Padma Inc. was founded as a company exclusively dedicated to the manufacturing of Tibetan herbal formulas. Currently ten different Tibetan herbal formulas are sold under the PADMA Label.
