see Figure 6 above Windows Vista/XP/ 2000 users should checkbox: “Include the area code” in Dialing Properties>selected Location>Edit>Area Code Rules Windows 98/98SE/ME users should checkbox: “Always dial area code” in Dialing Properties>Area Code Rules; Windows 95 users are out of luck and should select “Ignore Dialing Properties” and manually add area code.
