When applying Marine Boss to metal in a humid environment, you must first remove as much of the existing rust as possible, and then apply multiple coats with a towel or rag in the heat of the day in direct sunlight for best results. Make sure that each coat is thoroughly dried before applying another coat. If these conditions do not exist, you will need to place the boat in a dry dock environment and apply under controlled conditions, ensuring that the temperature of the metal is above 72º F (22º C), and without the problem of water contact.
