Our truck drivers require placarding even when we’re not offering a placarded load. Is this a problem?
No, placarding a non-placarded load is not a problem; e.g. the 454 kg rule (1,001 pounds) says that placards are not required (not required), therefore, leaving it as an option; keep in mind this is a small load of table 2 items. A violation would be when in fact a vehicle is placarded if empty. As a shipper, you’re only required to provide placards when you offer a placarded load.
