It is the applicant organization’s responsibility to determine the need for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval from its organization or any collaborating organizations involved in this proposal. If IRB approval is needed, it must be obtained by July 1, 2003. In addition, it is the responsibility of the applicant organization to ensure compliance with all applicable HIPAA regulations.
