Our organisation had a fatal accident this year. Can we still apply for an award?
A Yes. RoSPA recognises that the severity of the outcome of unplanned incidents does not necessarily reflect the seriousness of health and safety management failure – or vice versa. We therefore do not automatically disqualify award applications from organisations declaring a fatality in the entry period, although we reserve the right to disqualify individual cases.
