There could be a number of ways that a background is added to a print job. But let’s assume that you’re getting this on ALL prints. The density of the black cartidge is suspect. If there is too much toner going on the page, it has to land somewhere. If you can’t adjust it, next would be a replacement of that toner cartridge. It’s unlikely that any hardware problem would affect one cartridge, so this would be the likely solution. There are other things that could be going on.. a technician could tell a lot more by seeing the page.
