Use of Force initial Use of Force must be completed by newly appointed officers or officers beginning employment with the agency AND all officers must complete Use of Force training yearly. Note: initial use of force instruction must occur before the agency head issues a firearm to the officer or otherwise authorizes the officer to carry a firearm in the course of employment.
