Our Ad Insertion Manager would like us to delay alerts when our ad insertion equipment is active?
Not a problem, this is a standard feature in all ENDEC! Heres how it works: The ENDECs MANUAL OVERRIDE sensor can sense both open and closed relays and the ENDEC can be set so that either state is an active or inactive condition. As a result, the ENDEC can sense when ad insertions equipment is active (typically closed relays) and automatically delay, TIMED RELAY, alerts up to 15 minutes maximum (except EAN/EAT) or until ad insertion equipment is inactive (typically open relays). So simply connect the MANUAL OVERRIDE sensor on the rear of the ENDEC to one side of each external relay, of each ad inserter, that activates during ad insertion. Connect the second side of each relay contact to an external earth ground. ENDEC setup is as follows: In the main ENDEC menu arrow down to OVERRIDE USE and enter.
